Southern Landscape is once again working with Campbell County Schools as part of an ongoing public-private workforce development partnership to teach career and technical skills to high school students.

John Hardie, principal of the Campbell County Technical Center,  noted “Campbell County students are participating in a course this week offered by Southern Landscape to teach students landscaping skills. Though the class is not for high school credit, students potentially can earn internships through these partnership courses.

“It gives our kids opportunities, ahead of competitors in the region, and it keeps them in the county working, as opposed to having them leave this county,” Campbell County Schools Superintendent Robert Johnson said.
